Description

The school is located in the historical centre of Venice, in a well-known Venetian square, Campo Santa Margherita. It is a meeting place for students and residents who go shopping in the beautiful shops of the area or take a break to chat and drink in the open-air cafés.
A historical building with a wide terrace on the campo hosts the school. All the students have free access to two internet points, a self-access study room with video facilities where they can watch films from the video collection of the school and wi-fi Internet connection.

Istituto Venezia is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education. It is a member of:

• Asils, Association of Schools of Italian as a Second Language.
• Tandem International, International Network of Quality Language Institutes.

For many years, Istituto Venezia has been promoting and supporting the teaching of Italian language:

• it coordinates Venice International University courses of Italian for foreigners (V.I.U. is Università Ca' Foscari, Istituto Universitario di Architettura, Ludwig-Maximilians Universität-Munich, Tel Aviv University, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Waseda University Tokyo and Duke University Durham).
• it runs internships and work placements for the Postgraduate Teaching programme of Italian for Foreigners of Ca' Foscari University, Laboratorio Itals.
• it hosts Italian classes for the international association "Intercultura".
• it organizes study abroad programmes of several American universities.
