Kings Boston is located on the campus of Pine Manor College, one of the most attractive universities in the whole of New England. This beautiful 60-acre site is situated in Chestnut Hill, one of Boston's most elegant and exclusive suburbs. Following a major refurbishment started in October 2012, students can enjoy fantastic new teaching facilities and modernised on-campus accommodation blocks. 


Our Intensive course has the right balance of hours of study to maximise fluency in a short period of time. Aside from the hours of General English, you will be able to choose from a range of Special Interest Groups.

This course will enable you to transfer directly to the first year of a US or UK undergraduate programme. It combines English language and academic study skills with extracurricular projects.

This course is for you if you want to improve your overall language skills whilst having plenty of free time for work or fun.

20 lessons per week (15 hours) plus 4 lessons (3 hours) of structured self-study in Los Angeles and Boston.

These are usually every morning from Monday to Friday.

The Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) exam is one of the best known and most respected formal qualifications in English. Cambridge exams are recognised by commercial and academic institutions worldwide.

You can follow the course in a Compact version (20 lessons per week) or and Intensive version (28 lessons per week).

This course is for you if you want to prepare thoroughly for the TOEFL exam. Exam practice and technique are vital parts of the course. TOEFL is recognised by more than 7,500 colleges, universities and international employers worldwide.

These courses are for students wanting entry to US university and needing specialist preparation for the formal examinations required for entry to Undergraduate or Graduate programmes.

Test preparation must be combined with a main English course. It can be combined with any course, subject to appropriate language level and goals.

This course is designed for complete beginners who want to increase their fluency in as short a time as possible.

Small class sizes ensure maximum student-teacher interaction.

28 lessons per week will be dynamic, interesting and rigorous. During high season you might have lessons in the mornings, afternoons, or a combination of both.

The course comprises 20 lessons (15 hours) of language lessons per week and 8 lessons focused on specialist areas including conversation practice and pronunciation to develop confidence in speaking.

The Vacation course is for students who want a flexible, great value summer course offering a combination of English language lessons and a program of optional sports and activities, including a weekly excursion.

Students need to be 16 or older. There is no maximum age restriction!

This course is specifically designed to prepare you thoroughly for the Cambridge English: First (FCE) exam. You can follow the course in a Compact version (20 lessons per week) or and Intensive version (28 lessons per week).

This course is idesigned for students who have completed an undergraduate degree and want to study a Masters course in the UK or in the USA.

This course is for you if you want to achieve real fluency, gain specialist subject knowledge and enjoy a memorable college year or semester abroad.

There are two course lengths:

On-campus student residence

Our Boston student residence is situated on the same beautiful 50-acre site as Kings Boston — on the campus of Pine Manor College.
The residence offers good quality single and twin rooms with 6 students sharing a central bathroom area. There is also a common room on each floor. The nearest train station is a 15 minute walk (or free shuttle bus) from where it is a 20 minute journey to the city centre.

Homestay half-board

Our homestays are all very carefully selected and regularly inspected by our experienced Accommodation Officer.
We have strong relationships with many local hosts including working families, couples, single people and retired people.

ESL Townhouse residence

This residence provides convenient and comfortable living in shared apartments. It is located in the Fenwway district, close to both downtown Boston and Brookline.
Apartments are fully-furnished and also contain cooking facilities. Each apartment sleeps two or three people.
All our hosts offer a warm welcome and comfortable accommodation.

Fenway residence (summer only)

This residence provides convenient and comfortable student living in shared apartments. It is located at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, just a few steps away from the Museum of Fine Arts and Northeastern University, and close to both downtown Boston and Brookline. 
Apartments are fully furnished with a nice living area, kitchen and air conditioning. Apartments contain two double rooms and accommodate up to four students per apartment.
